On his radio show, Michael Savage said, "I am telling you that there's gonna be a wholesale firing of <del>competent</del> incompetent white men in the United States government up and down the line, in police departments, in fire departments.

Like i said i hope the Fairness doctirine is reinstituted so bums and street trash like Micheal Savage ,Rush Limbaugh Dennis Miller ,and Sean Hannity fall off the face of the earth they are a waste of public airwaves time on the radio with their racist rants and hate speech.

Geez...our new president-elect is HALF white, he's been raised to understand both sides of the fence, albeit more white than his other half (I can't remember what country his dad was from).  Regardless of how I voted, the system worked, democracy has prevailed.

For starters, I like how he lumped in Fire and Police departments with United States government...but forgets to mention that there is no such thing as the "United States Government Police." But far be it from this jagoff spout anything with a basis in fact.

Yeah, I'm sure whites everywhere will be enslaved, simply because a half-black man is sitting in the oval office. That's usually how it goes, isn't it racists?

People like this have must some serious inner turmoil with themselves. It's sad to see such hate still spread by the lips of people in this nation.

I have been discriminated against because of my color and gender many times in my life.  The election of Barack Obama has been protrayed since day one as the acendency of the Black man to true equality - if the damn white people will allow it.  Freedom should be mine at last!

After all I am a white male, the cause of all the world's problems throughout all history.  I could never say, "I'm voting for him/ her because he/she is white," for that would be racist.  However, it is perfectly acceptable to listen to people on the news saying they are voting for Mr. Obama because he is black.  You must understand that black people are never racist.

Michelle Obama has publicly stated her racism and most people seem to be just fine with that.  Did she ever get turned down for a job because of her color or gender?  Did Mr. Obama ever get turned away from an educational opportunity  because of his color?  These people live on racism, they thrive on racism, they succeed because of racism.

Savage sounds like an idiot to me.  However, last week I heard him complaining about Ayers never apologizing.  Then I listed to Ayers on Fresh Air and he promoted a poem of children destroying a school because it wasn't good enough.  Maybe Savage isn't as crazy as he sounds.  Maybe he is the first one to publicly proclaim that Obama is a racist and several years from now he will be forgotten in the outcry from those who 'discovered' it.

Perhaps Savage merely forgot to attach "in" in front of "competent".

Well I guess Savage won't lose his job. Oh well, but if they go after the incompetent ones Savage will be the first to go.

I didn't know there was any competency in the White House.  Is there no limit to this man's incompetency?

Competent is not a word that can nor should be used to describe our current government. If we want competency then we need to get rid of a lot of people regardless of what color they are.

Actually, despite what you and Michael Savage thinks, you can take any department or agency in the federal government and I guarantee you that none of them are as competent as AIG at taking the American taxpayer for a ride.  In fact even during the last eight years when large quantities of tax dollars were being diverted to the war effort and many areas of the federal government had to make due with less, these managers and workers you are calling incompetent always managed to stay within their budgets no matter what color they are. 

I hate to see much of the postings that I see here.  I think that far too long people and governments alike have wrongly justified their hatred and killing of people other than themselves.  When will it end?  It needs to end.  What I have been seeing in the news lately are white men going to gun stores buying weapons.  Now, these are not hunting weapons or guns used for protection, but I am talking about weapons used in war.  What I am researching right now is this Militia group.  It seems to be a major concern now about Obama taking away rights to bear arms which is written in the constitution, though Obama never said this but it is just strange how the media has manipulated Obama's words and have twisted his words in order to implant scares into the people.  The media is good for this.  Why is it that its legal for whites to have a gang (militia) but they spend a great deal of time and effort messing with young teenage gang members.  Is it because they think its the right thing to do?  or is because they are scared?  I'm confused about the behavior of these white men and what they are really up to.

I agree and disagree with many of the statements made by the author.

I believe that more black people will feel empowered by what has happened with the Obama election to the Presidency.  This should in turn prompt them to seek better jobs.  If certain competent white people feel they are entitled to keep their jobs just because they have been there a while, there could be problems.  Hopefully, we can evolve to chosing the right person regardless of skin.

I also agree that Obama is the most unqualified President in history and has gotten to where he is at based on his skin and blame Bush for everything.  That is my opinion.  But, now is not the time to rail about the past.  Obama needs to be given a fair chance to do the job.  My hope is that he becomes much more than he is.   My measure of how successful he is will depend on how quickly he 1) stops blaming Bush for everything (and focus on an even more inept Congress) and 2) jumps into the mess he is trying to clean up.  

My assessment of Americans are that they have become too quick to place blame versus looking at the real causes.  The majority are only capable of understanding simple solutions.  When this does not happen, they are quick to place blame elsewhere.  And, the media is quick to pick up on this and lead them like cattle. 

So, this is the dynamics I see unfolding inn the next year.  Empowerment versus backlash (and more than just black versus white) with the media trying to steer what may be a sinking boat.

amen professor,  camilla.   at 53,  i saw with my own eyes the whites only bathrooms,  water fountains,  ect.    i have see,  and heard crap out of supposedly good,  christian,  white people stuff that would not be directed at someone of their own race.   i grew up in a household that laughed when king was killed.   i am ashamed of that part of my up-bringing,  and i always will be.   back in the late fifties my father,  and a sister or two,  and others were part of one of the 'citizens councils' down in houston.  

fol;ks,  i've lived during this @!$%#,  and i know how hate eats at normally good people,  and is passed down the line to the children,  year after year,  until you have a bunch of hatde-filled people who have no knowledge of,  or reason why they hate....they just do!!!

You guys kill me.  We've had 43 white Presidents, and now 1 black one...and the reason is because of his skin color?  ANYONE who holds this belief is ignorant of the black experience in America.  I felt empowered long before I ever knew who Barack Obama was.  The ability to utilize my skills, intelligence and work ethic to provide a quality life for my family empowered me.  Just like all Presidents before him, Barack Obama's skin color has absolutely nothing to do with how he will lead this country. 

Barack Obama's win has given me hope that America as a whole has crossed over the divide of race and decided to put aside fear in exchange for hope.  Embracing the belief that America will, with him as its leader, do what it has always done...adapt, move forward and prosper. 

I am a Soldier, a Husband, a Father, an AMERICAN...and I AM NOT AFRAID.  I wasn't afraid when I went to war under G. Bush SR or G. Bush Jr. and I am not afraid of the future under B. Obama.  The "fear of the black man card" is rapidly losing it's effect on the vast majority, and our tolerance for the fear monger is growing slimmer by the day.  Those that seek to divide us at a time when unity is most needed, will surely reap their just reward when their own fears consume them.

Well, now that the economy is a mess and Bush and all his predessors and all the elites and bankers have drained the economy and have gone all over the world and plundered which is something they have been doing since the presence of Abraham (son of God).  I can see why it was so important for Bush to want to change the Bankruptcy Law as soon as he got into office.  He had a plan.  A plan to push the People into a bankrupt state and then make it to where they can't find relief through bankruptcy.  Hmmm....what else is he cooking up before he gets out of office.  As far as I hear in the news he is planning to take more and more liberties from the people.  This National Security thing they got going on is no more than a prison for the citizens.  When will the government stop concocting tragedies in order to implement their ploy of National Security.  Is it really protecting us?  Or is it really confining us?
